Romee is dedicated to utilising natural, not synthetic materials that have minimal environmental impact.
Our commitment led us to select silk as the material for our headbands, instead of satin (synthentic!) alternatives dominating the fashion industry.
Our headbands are manufactured in the Chinese Province, Shandong.
The birthplace of silk, China, carries a heritage deeply rooted in silk production. Specifically, we chose mulberry silk, a premium variety cultivated from the leaves of the mulberry tree. This process involves a meticulous method of rearing silkworms, ensuring minimal environmental impact. While 'Made in China' might conjure misconceptions, our manufacturing signifies a dedication to centuries-old craftsmanship and expertise.
OEKO-TEX® 100 STANDARD
Often, we overlook the impact of fabrics on our skin, disregarding the potential harm caused by harmful chemicals present in textiles. Romee is committed to using OEKO-TEX® certified silk for our headbands, which is backed by our manufacturer's OEKO-TEX® 100 Standard certification. Romee will ensure (to the best of our knowledge and supplier authenticity) yearly certification of OEKO-TEX® 100 STANDARD. This guarantees that our headbands are crafted using dyes and materials that meet the stringent OEKO-TEX® 100 STANDARD, ensuring that only approved chemicals are used in the dyeing process.
OEKO-TEX® conducts extensive checks and regular on-site visits to our certified manufacturer, reinforcing a global awareness and responsible use of chemicals in production.
